CURE magazine announces winner of the 2011 Extraordinary Healer Award
for Oncology Nursing
For the fifth consecutive year, CURE magazine announced the winner of the 2011 Extraordinary Healer Award for Oncology Nursing during a special award ceremony at the Oncology Nursing Society's (ONS) 36th Annual Congress. Nearly 200 cancer patients, survivors, caregivers and peers submitted essays to this year's contest nominating oncology nurses who demonstrated exceptional compassion, expertise and commitment in their patient's fights against cancer.

2011 Extraordinary Healer Award for Oncology Nursing Finalists Announced
CURE magazine, the nation's largest magazine for people with cancer, has announced the three finalists for the 2011 Extraordinary Healer Award for oncology nursing. The contest, made possible with financial support from Amgen Oncology and Breakaway from Cancer® invited patients and their families to submit a 400-1000 word essay describing the compassion, expertise and helpfulness a special oncology nurse exhibited toward them during their cancer journey.
